Hello guys! This is my first post so far to start sharing with you my favorite spots around Toronto. Through this blogs series I want to help you learn about places which are really worth visiting and with easy access using “green” transportation (aka without bringing more pollution to our planet <3).
My first one is about this beautiful municipal park “High Park” which I found is a cutie one while hanging out with your friends or your significant other. I wanted to do this visit so badly months ago but I needed to wait for around 5 months (from the day I moved to Toronto) to finally visit it, due to the cold Canadian winter season!! Yess… I got sick for almost a month and then catching up with school.
My first visit was just incredible, I highly recommend to do during the Spring and especially on Mondays, it can get so crowded during the weekends and for me, the feeling is not the same. Here are the 3 reasons why I found is such a magical place:
1. The Cherry Blossoms in bloom
Cherry Blossoms full in bloom are the must-see at High Park and you cannot miss it. Yet, you need to be careful with when that happens since it occurs just once a year and mostly during the first week of May. Yes! Just a few days to admire more than a thousand pink Sakura Trees which will make you feel like you’ve been teleported to rural Tokyo!

2. Picnic in front of the pond
Yes! you can bring your own meal and snacks, and have an outdoor picnic at High Park, in front of a beautiful pond or under the floral view surrounded by the nature, far from the usual craziness of urban Toronto. Plus, there are swans around that bring a romantic element to your gathering or date.

3. Bike around all the way from High Park to Downtown Toronto
Biking around High Park with your significant other is the cutest thing you can do while visiting High Park. Although sometimes you need to carry your bike to wander further, you can get all the way through the Lake Shore to Downtown Toronto. “Awesome view approved!”
